Ping S57
$1,200.00
Released March, 2008
The Pros:Feels solid with ample feedback when used. Accurate - lots of potential for clean, accurate drives. Looks good - finished in brushed silver chrome.
The Cons:Not the most forgiving club - best suited for golfers with some experience. Lacks softness - only suitable for certain golfers.
The Ping S57 is a set of irons offered by Ping to give maximum workability for golfers who prefer a tour-designed feel. The small stainless steel head has an increased moment of inertia, which is improved with a dense tungsten toe weight, longer hosel and small cavity.
This also gives golfers a bit of forgiveness with their hits. Dual stabilizing bars in the cavity optimize the center of gravity and produce a solid feel as well as provide the distance control expected from this blade design. The machined face and grooves, player-preferred offsets and the lower ball flight is ideal for golfers who put shot-making as a high priority in their game. The brushed silver chrome finish makes these clubs as professional looking as they are playing. The Ping S57 irons come with a dynamic gold steel shaft and a 703 soft rubber grip. Clubs available in the set are 2 to 9 irons and a PW.
