Cleveland CG Gold Irons
$600.00
Released May, 2007
The Pros:The Gelback insert helps prevent sting on missed shots or colder days. Well balanced; will be able to feel clubhead throughout swing. Will give intermediate golfers more forgiveness than the Red version of these irons.
The Cons:Some may find the stock grips to be too soft. Some irons out there will offer golfers more forgiveness.
Cleveland Golf's CG Gold Irons aim to satisfy players with a wide range of abilities. Not as workable as other lines like CG Red, but not purely game-improvement irons, the set offers a balance between feel and forgiveness.

Compared to the CG Reds, they have a greater offset, thicker topline, and larger clubface. A 'Gelback' insert is one feature intended to provide a soft feel, including on off-center hits. A low center of gravity also optimizes stability for mishits, while 'Micro-Cavity' technology stiffens the topline and minimizes vibrations. The CG Gold Irons are available with steel or graphite shafts.
