Callaway X-Forged
$900.00
Released January, 2008
The Pros:Allow for extreme accuracy, can send the ball right where you want it. Feel is smooth and buttery even on mis-hits. Enough forgiveness for moderately experienced players.
The Cons:Not a lot of forgiveness for a sloppy swing style, beginners will struggle. Topline is a little thick, makes it a little harder to line up right.
The Callaway X-Forged Irons are made with 1020 Carbon steel construction, material that gives responsive feedback to the consumer. Designed for more advanced golfers, the iron heads are styled with a tightened sole radius for versitility, and a thin topline combined with a narrow sole and shorter blade length to give the player a professional game.

The irons have a white chrome finish to remove glare and a flighted center of gravity. The weight is placed on the top and bottom of the cavity and the notch weighting is progressively adjusted throughout the set to add weight to shorter irons and remove it from longer ones.
